Norma Lorenzo has practiced immigration law for two decades and has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2005. Her work spans the most demanding corners of business and employment immigration — National Interest Waivers, EB-1 petitions for researchers, professors, and executives, PERM labor certifications, and the full range of nonimmigrant visas (H-1B, L, O, P, E, and J, including J waivers).
She represents major companies as outside immigration counsel and defends clients in removal proceedings and bond hearings before the immigration courts. Earlier in her career she served as in-house counsel for a global employee-mobility company, handling both inbound U.S. visas and outbound matters for Spain, Colombia, Venezuela, and Argentina.
From 2015 to 2023, she served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Florida International University College of Law. She serves on the FIU College of Law Alumni Board and has been recognized with the Super Lawyers Rising Star award, National Advocacy's Top 100 Lawyers, the Women in Law Award, and the Law Firm 500 Honoree Award.
